TN SSLC results 2025: The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, is set to release the results of the Class 10 (SSLC) and Class 11 (HSE +1) public examinations for the academic year 2024–2025 on May 16, 2025.The announcement was confirmed by the Minister of School Education, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, and will take place at the Directorate of State Examinations, Prof. Anbazhagan Education Complex.More than 1.7 million students are eagerly waiting for their results this year. Among them, roughly 908,080 candidates had enrolled for the SSLC examinations, with about 894,264 actually taking the traditional pen-and-paper tests held from March 28 to April 15, 2025. Meanwhile, close to 800,000 students appeared for the Class 11 (HSE +1) exams conducted between March 5 and March 27, 2025.

The SSLC (Class 10) results will be released at 9.00 am, followed by the HSE +1 (Class 11) results at 2.00 pm on May 16, 2025. Additionally, results will be sent via SMS to the mobile numbers provided during the online application process, and they will be available at the respective schools of the candidates.

Steps to check TN SSLC and HSE +1 results online

To pass, students must score at least 35 marks out of 100 in each subject, including a minimum of 20 marks in the theory component. Practical exams for SSLC students were held between February 22 and February 28, 2025. The evaluation for Class 10 concluded by April 22, 2025, and for Class 11 by April 13, 2025.Previous year performance and expectationsIn the 2023–2024 academic session, the SSLC pass percentage stood at 91.55%. Girls outperformed boys, with a pass rate of 94.53% compared to 88.58% among boys. Perumbalur district recorded the highest performance at 97.6%, followed by Sivaganga and Virudhunagar. Around 3,718 schools achieved a 100% pass rate, with private schools showing strong results at 97.38%. For Class 11, detailed pass percentages were not released separately, but the overall Higher Secondary result stood at 94.56%.Post-result process and improvement optionsStudents are advised to collect their original marksheets from their respective schools within a few days of the online result declaration. In case of discrepancies in the provisional marksheets, students must report to their school authorities or the DGE immediately for corrections. The DGE has also launched the 'TN SSLC Result 2025' mobile app on the Play Store and App Store for convenient access.Candidates dissatisfied with their marks can apply for revaluation or retotaling. Applications for photocopies of answer sheets can be submitted via apply1.tndge.org, with a revaluation fee of Rs 505 per subject. Supplementary exams for SSLC students will be held in June or July 2025, and the results are expected in August.Candidates are advised to stay in touch with the official website and refrain from checking unreliable sources to get the latest updates.
