Poonam Kaur calls out MAA over inaction on Trivikram complaint amid Jani Master allegations

Actress Poonam Kaur has renewed her call for accountability from the Movie Artists Association (MAA) over her past complaint against director Trivikram Srinivas, following recent sexual harassment allegations against choreographer Jani Master. Expressing her frustration on social media, Poonam criticized the MAA's inaction. Meanwhile, Jani Master has been charged with sexual assault and criminal intimidation, while actor Allu Arjun pledged support for the victim in his future projects.

In the wake of the recent allegation made by a 21 year old female choreographer who alleged that renowned choreographer Jani Master sexually harassed her, Actress Poonam Kaur again shared on social media urging the Movie Artists Association (MAA).
Taking on her X (formerly Twitter) Poonam expressed her frustration at the lack of action taken by the MAA regarding her complaint against renowned director Trivikram Srinivas.

Her tweet reads, "Had maa association taken complaint on trivikram Srinivas , I and many wouldn’t have had the political suffering , I was rather silently ignored , I had given a call tand then complaint to the heads , I want industry big wigs to question Director Trivikram ."

She believes that the recent controversy surrounding Jani Master has provided an opportunity to revisit her own case and demand accountability.
For the unversed, Choreographer Jani Master was recently booked by the police after the 21 year old female choreographer accused him of sexually assaulting her multiple times during outdoor shoots in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.

The choreographer has been booked under various charges which include sections 376 of the Indian Penal Code that deals with rape and sections 506 and 323 which deals with criminal intimidation and voluntarily causing hurt. A case has also been registered against him under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act.
Recently, Actor Allu Arjun has promised opportunities in his upcoming projects, as well as other projects produced by Geetha Arts, for the young girl who was a victim of the alleged harassment case involving Jani Master.
