Aman Gandhi reminisces about cherished Baisakhi celebrations back home in Delhi; says, “I truly miss being with family”

Aman Gandhi, currently in Mumbai for work, reminisces about his cherished Baisakhi celebrations in Delhi. He misses the family visits to the Gurudwara, the seva, and the langar. Most of all, he longs for his mother's homemade feast, especially the makki di roti, sarson da saag, and kheer, along with the community spirit of nagar kirtan.

As the joyous festival of Baisakhi approaches, actor Aman Gandhi, known for his role as Ayush in Bhagya Lakshmi, is flooded with nostalgic memories of the celebrations back home in Delhi. Now living in Mumbai due to work commitments, Aman admits that the charm and grandeur of celebrating Baisakhi with family have been hard to recreate.
“Ever since I moved to Mumbai, I haven’t been able to celebrate Baisakhi with the same grandeur as I did back home in Delhi,” Aman shared. For him, the festival wasn’t just a date on the calendar—it was an experience woven with warmth, community, and tradition. He fondly recalled how the entire family would visit the Gurudwara, offer prayers to Waheguru, and take part in seva before relishing the simple yet soulful langar.
However, what truly made Baisakhi special for him was returning to the comforting aroma of his mother’s homemade feast. “From makki di roti to sarson da saag, to her special kheer—the aroma itself would make the day feel extra special,” he said with emotion.
He also spoke about the community spirit in his Delhi neighbourhood, where the sounds of nagar kirtan and energetic performances brought people together in festive harmony. “I truly miss being with my family during these celebrations. Wishing everyone a very Happy Baisakhi—may you celebrate it with your loved ones!” Aman concluded with heartfelt warmth.
