Getting steps in, planting flowers: Bobby Witt Jr.’s wife Maggie shares her leisure hour activities

Bobby Witt Jr., the Royals star shortstop’s wife, Maggie, turned gardener this week while enjoying a break from her busy routine. She shared the best moments from her leisurely hour spent in getting steps in and planting flowers. Her furry companion also tagged along while she walked, soaking the brightness and warmth of a sunny morning. Bobby Witt Jr. was on fire last season and is expected to repeat the excellent run as a shortstop this season.

Bobby Witt Jr.’s wife, Maggie, usually has a lot on her plate. So, whenever she finds a leisure hour, it becomes a celebration. Recently, she shared a glimpse of the rejuvenation time she had stolen from the spring cleaning spree on her Instagram story. Take a look:

Her partner in crime was her pet dog, with whom she worked towards ‘getting steps in.’ In the picture, she labeled him ‘a model’, perhaps because of the perfection with which her furry companion posed for the selfie. The setting was a bright, sunny day, and both Maggie and her pet looked engaged, soaking up the summer sun while working towards meeting their fitness goals.
Her leisure activities were not limited to completing the day’s steps only. She also tried gardening for the first time and planted a flower. Referring to the ‘new-found hobby’ she got, the Kansas City Royals star’s wife wrote the following text on the picture from her gardening activity:
“Also, planted flowers for the first time today✨”

Apart from supporting her baseballer husband Bobby Witt Jr’s career, Maggie Witt works as a fitness trainer. She is an ACSM-certified fitness trainer and a Health and Exercise Science graduate. Her husband also takes fitness tips from her at times, and they bond over their love for health and sports.

On March 16, 2025, MLB released its best players’ ratings and ranked Bobby Witt Jr. the second, putting Shohei Ohtani first. Bobby Witt Jr. earned the spot owing to the enormous responsibility with which he performed the last season and took his struggling team till late October.
